Saying goodbye to a loved pet...

 Today was a very sad day in our home.  Our dear three pound chihuahua had to be put to sleep.  My daughter is taking it the hardest. I wanted to post this tribute my daughter wrote and sent to all her friends:

"The life of Roxy D'Andrea. Born in Arizona in Spring 2000. Roxy was a great little runt reindeer chihuahua. She was always so friendly and playful. In late October 2009 one of her eyes went blind. In December 2010 she went full blind. We found out that she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and she has a cancer. Roxy's life ended on August 17, 2011 at around 4:30 p.m. Even though Roxy did have many problems throughout her life... she was the best little runt reindeer chihuahua ever! (: Grace :)"

Here's a necklace a had and I took out a photo of my children for now (I can order another) and put my daughter's favorite picture in it. I'll give it to her tomorrow when she wakes up.  

Here is Roxy after they gave her the shot to help her relax and sleep.  I took her bed because her body was hurting and she didn't like to be held to much.  She curled up and went to sleep. I had about 30 minutes with her before the kind vet came and got her to give the final medication. I chose not to be there for that part...it's a tough choice either way.

We will miss you Roxy.  You were kind, gentle and loving.
